Upcoming Events

 
Since I am unable to join Todd and Sean in Mentor on August 9, I have found some other events which I am considering.  I am staying focused on running and biking since I cannot swim more than a couple of strokes without getting water up my nose and tiring. These are the upcoming events I am considering; let me know if anyone is interested in any.

Joe and Todd's 5 Miler

Joe and I both did really well at our annual Johnny Cake Jog this morning. I got my new PR and Joe was 20 or so seconds from his. Great weather and we both hope you all can run it with us next year. The link is below along with a snapshot of our times. Way to go Joe- It has been my pleasure to run this race with you 3 years in a row now. It is a special race to me because it was my first race ever. There was no magnetic strip at the beginning of the race so Joe's time was 42:35 which was a PR for this race. I started at the start line while Joe was way in the back.

I just want to thank Doug again for this site. I really like the spreadsheet function and seeing what everyone has been doing regarding their mileage. Now that I have said this, I hope Doug can update the spreadsheet for this week. Or I can do it if he shows me. :)

Race for the Place, Beachwood OH. A 5K PR

Well my third 5K.. And another PR. I finished in 25:04 Nice day for a race and a great cause. Glad I did it

I ran on Saturday in Gates Mills. It was a very nice course. I did better by about 25 seconds from a 5k that I ran earlier in May. I ran 22:20, 4th in my age group, 38th overall. No chips, it was old school, so they tore off our tag off the bottom of the bibb as we finished. The times were just now posted. I ran well, mile 2 was up hill and it definetly took something out off me. My first mile was 6:50. I had to pay the piper on mile 2 and then finished well. The River Run will be my first 1/2 Marathon.

10th Annual Cleveland Clinic Sports Health River Run

By the way, here is info. on the 10th Annual Cleveland Clinic Sports Health River Run. I plan to do a bunch more 5Ks this summer, as well as gear up for this one. Thanks Mark for the inspiration!

Morgana Run!

Ran the Morgana Run (!) 5K in Slavic Village today. Beat my former 5K time by nearly 2 minutes. Finished today 2nd in 35 - 39 group at 21:40. Great day and felt good.
